The Hysterectomy Association

In 1997 I completed a piece of research for my masters degree in Information Science.  As a result of that work, The Hysterectomy Association was born and has been online ever since.  Supporting thousands of women every year, make clearer and more informed choices about their health.

However, the association has NEVER received funding from the NHS or Local Government.  It relies solely for it’s income on the sales of the books and other products it sells from the website.  Therefore a significant proportion of the monies raised through this project will be ploughed back into developing the association to meet it’s full potential.

The money will be used to:

  • Develop a free telephone helpline staffed by nurses
  • Create a free booklet that GP’s and Gynaecologists can give out to patients at the point of diagnosis
  • Develop a full counselling service for women
  • Provide a members area of the website where members can ‘email an expert’
  • Create a charitable foundation which will work with aid agencies in developing countries focused on women’s health issues

Can you help me to make this happen?
